Nobody wants to read a 1,000 page book self help book when they are feeling their crappiest and just want to know what the hell is wrong with them!! At least, I sure did not. The more knowledgeable you are and the more you understand about your circumstances, the more in control you are able to feel.

I’ll try to update this list as often as possible, but there are some good resources to browse– topics ranging from postpartum depression to 500 things to do with your toddler to help you not go insane! (We can’t be serious all the time!)


Postpartum Support International A great site with loads of information, local resources, chat with an expert, articles– tons of resources.

Postpartum Progress This is the world’s most widely read blog dedicated to maternal mental illness.

Postpartum Health Alliance Great non-profit organization with a mission on spreading awareness about perinatal mood disorder, support hot line, and referrals for local treatment.

Survivor Stories– YOU WILL BE OK A great resource and uplifting survivor stories to let you know YOU WILL BE OK. The Pregnancy and Postpartum Resource Center also offer a phone hotline. Leave a message and they will return the call within 24 hours.
